29-year-old Brittany Maynard chose to die on Saturday
Brittany Maynard, the woman behind a heartbreaking video campaign in which she told the world she had chosen to die, ended her life on Saturday with lethal prescription drugs.
The 29-year-old was diagnosed on New Year’s Day with terminal brain cancer and given six months to live. Maynard and her husband, Dan Diaz, decided to move from California to Oregon, as the state has assisted-suicide laws which give terminally ill patients the option to end their lives
